Forró is a Brazilian musical genre with rhythmic diversity that includes xote, baião, xaxado, marchinhas and others. Forró, in its melodies and lyrics, expresses the feelings and identity of the northeastern people. With its vibrant and dancing rhythms, forró goes beyond Brazilian borders and every day it gains more and more fans around the world! Bob Zé, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, was born in the Northeast of Brazil. He grew up involved in forró culture, listening to the classics: Luiz Gonzaga, Trio Nordestino, Genival Lacerda, Jackson do Pandeiro, among others. In his musical career he has participated in some festivals in Brazil and Europe: Sescanção/Aracaju, Sescanção/Maringá, Brasilfestbrno2024 and forrobrnofest2024.
